Dr. Christopher Culligan – Biography
Dr. Christopher Culligan is an ER and Family Physician in Toronto, Canada. He regularly instructs medical students, residents and international medical graduates as a lecturer in the University of Toronto Faculty of Medicine, through both the ER and his Family Medicine practice. A member of the College of Family Physicians of Canada since 2000, Dr. Culligan earned his medical degree from Dalhousie University in 1998. He also holds an MSc in Kinesiology from Dalhousie University and a BSc in Biochemistry from Mount Allison University.
More recently, Dr. Culligan has expanded his focus to creating mobile apps that help people predict if they have a medical condition they should seek help for. Inspired by his experience as a family physician, the lack of reliable medical information online and the need of men and women to get the facts straight, he founded interactive media company The Doctor Says (www.thedoctorsays.com). As CEO of the company, Dr. Culligan is dedicated to creating apps that deliver meaningful medical knowledge to consumers in engaging and original ways. Although the apps lean on humour and pop culture to engage the user, the facts are not left behind. All the apps rely on scientific published information to best guide people.
